LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska softball coach Rhonda Revelle has been inducted into the hall of fame. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association honored Revelle Friday at the group's annual convention, but the award was announced last year. Revelle was honored because of her consistent success at Nebraska where she is in her 19th season. Revelle has a 680-371 record, and her Nebraska teams have won six Big 12 titles and made two trips to the women's College World Series. Her teams have qualified for the NCAA tournament in 15 of the past 16 seasons. Revelle says she's honored to be inducted. Before coming to Nebraska, Revelle coached one season at Nebraska Wesleyan and earned eight wins, so her career record is 688-387. Revelle also played for Nebraska from 1981 to 1983. |
